Visitors and Friends of the MPC
Our Program has received a lot of support since the beginning and even though I have not been so involved in the creation process, I feel very grateful with certain persons that have shown us a lot of support and have been a part of our learning process...
This part of my webpage will be updated constantly because our list of friends keeps growing and growing every day (thankfully).

gabriel calzadaGabriel is the Vice President of the University and a big supporter of our Program. He actually joined us for a Socratic Dialogue on the book Getting Real, by Susan Campbell.
Andrew humphriesHe's a St. John College Graduate, very proficient in Euclid's Elements, and our very talented coach (we will soon have a Euclid Youtube Channel streaming us explaining the Propositions with such ease).
Right now he is in India working as a Program's Associate for the Centre for Civil Society. We have never met physically, but he's one of the best Skype Teachers I've ever had. dale stehpensWait for it.
Dylan Evans He's an Evoutionary Psychologist and a visiting Professor at UFM. He is the author of many, many books including Risk Intelligence: How to Live with Uncertainty, and Placebo: The Belief Effect.
He's also a DJ (PhDj) and is actually facilitating a class at the MPC. We're reading a book called Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. I find his honesty very refreshing. He is someone who understands that human beings have a dark side, and that that's ok. From him I am also learning to embrace all of me, not only my virtues, and that way be more comfortable in my own skin. Alexander McCobinwait for it...

GianCarlo ibargüenGiancarlo is the President of the Francisco Marroquin University and one of the main supporters and promotors of the Michael Polanyi College.
He, along with Albert Loan, is one of the persons that made it possible for me to be part of such revolution. zachary caceresHe's from New York, he studied Politics, Economy and Philosophy at NYU. He's in Guatemala working for the Free Cities Institute.
He was one of the first people I met when I joined the MPC, and have learned a lot about him since. He's also very involved in the Documentary on Disruptive Education Ana Isa, Tony and Kira are working on. If you want to know more about his work you should check this out: http://zach-c.blogspot.com/ http://athousandnations.com/author/zcaceres/ http://vimeo.com/zacharycaceres Adrián ravierWait for it.
ana isabel gadala-maríaShe isone of the responsibles for the utter existence of the MPC. She was behind every step of the way, and she was going to be one of the 18 Pioneers.
She had to step down from that role though, because she had too much on her plate but she's still very much involved with the MPC and joins us for our activities, projects and some dialogues. tony ungHe is the vivid image of a Versatilist. He's a DJ, Surfer, Video Producer, Inventor, Musician... (the list goes on).
He's involved with the MPC because he, Kira Martins, Ana Isa Gadala and Zach Caceres have been filming and interviewing us since the beginning for a documentary on Disruptive Education. I really admire his ability to live in the moment and be present, he's always calm and cool, and I have learned and grown so much around him. You should check out his blog, he may surprise you too... kira martinsShe's a Video Producer, cinephile and one of the smartest people I've ever come across. Her laugh may or may not defy the sound barrier. I've witnessed it being heard from one building to another.
We met because she, along with Tony Ung, Zach Caceres and Ana Isa Gadala, is part-takling in the creation of the documentary on Disruptive Education and she and Tony follow us around with video cameras, recording our every move. I admit I will miss the spotlight when they go back to LA. She also has a quite interesting blog you should check out. |
